Hey Everyone!

At about 10 o'clock last night, I hit the button on a major effort that will take the Crazy Aunt Lindsey project to the next level. We’ve got big plans for the show this year that include more shows, more crafts, and MORE KIDS. But the only way any of this can happen is with your help. Over the next six weeks, I have partnered with Kickstarter.com, an innovative investing platform that harnesses the power of social media to fund creative endeavors. There, we will attempt to raise $12,000 in 45 days to support our next season which is slated to launch in June.

Your individual pledges to our project, no matter how small or large the amount, pool together to meet that $12,000 goal. Your collective generosity will enable us to accomplish the following:
  • Upgrade the overall production value of the show
  • Keep blog content fresh and consistent
  • Buy a new computer and
  • Secure a video editor
For those of you not familiar with the Kickstarter format, not meeting our $12,000 target in the time allotted means we don’t get to keep any of the money that is raised. So, even if we reach $11,999.99, we don't get to keep it (nor is anyone charged). To encourage the "social investing," Kickstarter allows us to offer rewards for pledges at all different levels. I think I’ve worked out some pretty sweet goodies for all you lovlies out there who will help us:
  • Crazy Aunt Lindsey "Lookbook" complete with craft recipes
  • Reusable shopping totes
  • Shows dedicated to you
  • Handmade crafts made just for you
  • Dance parties and bedtime stories and many more
And that is NOT ALL! If you help me EXCEED the $12,000 goal by raising:
  • $15,000 – I will help beautify an urban neighborhood by personally planting flowerbeds in a city like Newark, Camden, or Trenton New Jersey
  • $20,000 – Not only will I plant those flowerbeds but I will also designate a full $1,000 to donate to someone else's dream project on Kickstarter
The first 5 episodes of "Doing Stuff With Crazy Aunt Lindsey" was created just for fun in the kitchens and living rooms of friends and family. The response from folks all over the internet has been overwhelming and truly humbling. This is the sole inspiration to keep on going. So, $1 or $10,000, your generous support is more appreciated than you will ever know. So please. Talk to me on Facebook, follow me on Twitter, subscribe to the YouTube channel, give what you can, and keep coming back! We would also love it if you would tell everyone you know about this effort by Tweeting and posting our links to your Facebook page, blog, and Tumblr.

From top to bottom, this whole project has been a family affair and I hope that you will join us. Thank you.
